The highlight of the episode was a hilarious incident shared by Bhavana Pandey about their annual Karwa Chauth celebration at Anil Kapoor’s house. Bhavana, recalled how she and the other wives gathered at Sunita Kapoor’s residence to break their fast. As per tradition, they went to the terrace to see the moon, armed with the channi (sieve) and diyas in hand. Bhavana set the scene, explaining how she asked her husband, Chunky Pandey, to stay put as they prepared for the ritual. However, as she turned around, Chunky was nowhere to be found.
To make matters worse, in the confusion, the sieve she was holding accidentally landed on Boney Kapoor’s face, leading to an awkward but amusing moment. Amidst the chaos, Bhavana called out for Chunky, who soon returned to his position, and the ritual was finally completed properly. The entire set burst into laughter as Bhavana narrated this amusing episode. Kapil Sharma, known for his witty comments, couldn’t resist adding, “Boney Kapoor must have been wondering why Sridevi looked so different that day!”
Another funny Karwa Chauth story came from Maheep Kapoor, who shared how Ranbir Kapoor’s aunt, Reema Jain, mistakenly broke her fast after seeing a dish antenna, thinking it was the moon. Maheep described how, eager to eat, Reema was the first to dash upstairs and start munching on malpuas before the real moon even rose. When confronted, Reema insisted that she had already seen the moon, pointing to what was clearly an antenna! Kapil Sharma’s quick-witted response, “The one who is fasting will see the moon anywhere,” left the audience roaring with laughter.
Seema Sajdeh also shared her own Karwa Chauth mishap, revealing that she once observed the fast during a flight from London to Mumbai. Unsure of when to break her fast due to the time zone difference, she eventually gave up and simply ate her meal, abandoning the fast entirely.
The episode wasn’t just about rituals and fasting. Kapil Sharma, who is known for his humor, wittily asked the women if they had ever figured out whether men or women enjoyed their show more. Neelam Kothari Soni quipped that men secretly love the gossip but often blame their wives for watching it. Bhavana Pandey quipped that men pretend to be innocent bystanders, but they are, in fact, avid viewers of the show.
