In the latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hai RK confronts Armaan, making it clear that people are not a place he can come and go as he pleases. He demands that Armaan choose between Abhira and Shivani, refusing to let him take both. The ultimatum leaves Armaan torn, lost in deep thought. Meanwhile, Abhira searches for Armaan, unaware of the pressure he is under. Armaan, however, refuses to respond to RK, brushing past his words.
Shivani, sensing tension, asks RK what has happened. He informs both her and Abhira that he has forced Armaan to make a choice between her and Abhira. Shivani immediately questions Abhira, wondering what she thinks of RK’s demand. Abhira reminds her that she is Armaan’s wife and that the act at the hospital was merely a necessity. She remains firm in her stance, deciding to stand by Armaan no matter what. Shivani, on the other hand, resolves to take care of RK.

The next morning, Shivani informs Abhira that Armaan has taken RK somewhere. She urges her to find him. Abhira rushes to locate them. Armaan, standing before RK, finally reveals his choice. Abhira arrives just in time to hear him say that he has chosen Shivani. Though his words sting, she remains composed. When Armaan asks if she is hurt, he admits that fate is punishing him for the pain he has caused her. He seeks forgiveness, believing her life will be better without him. She assures him that she will find happiness and urges him to let go of his guilt. Both acknowledge that they will miss each other despite everything.
RK, watching the exchange, finally speaks. He reveals that his demand was a test. He wanted to see if Armaan would be willing to put Shivani first, just as he does. Seeing Armaan make the sacrifice, he acknowledges the depth of his heart. His words leave both Armaan and Abhira stunned.
Though Arman and Abhira proved themselves in front of RK they yet to encounter Poddars, specialy Kaveri and Vidya. The future confrontations will determine their fate.
