Samsung quietly dropped a new smartphone in South Korea, but eagle-eyed fans have already spotted the twist. The Galaxy Jump 5 is essentially the Galaxy A27 5G – which launched in India just recently – wearing a different name tag. And yes, it costs more too.
Price and Availability
The carrier-exclusive phone is listed at KRW 5,45,600 (approx ₹34,000) on Samsung’s online store. That’s noticeably higher than the Galaxy A27 5G’s ₹28,999 starting price in India. The company hasn’t revealed RAM or storage variants yet, but the phone goes on sale from July 3 in Black, Green, and Pink shades – matching the A27 5G’s color palette.

Same Specs, Different Name
Under the hood, this is where it gets interesting. The Jump 5 runs on Android 16-based One UI 8.5 and packs a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Performance comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Battery life stays reliable with a 5,000mAh cell supporting 25W fast charging through USB-C. It measures 162.4×78.2×7.8mm and weighs around 200 grams, with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
Camera Setup
Photography enthusiasts won’t find surprises here either. The Jump 5 features the same triple rear camera system – a 50MP main sensor with OIS, paired with a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro lens. Up front, there’s a 12MP shooter for selfies and video calls.
Software update policy details are still under wraps, but the Indian A27 5G promised 6 OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches. Considering the similarities, expect something similar here.
