OnePlus Turbo 6X May Launch Soon – 7,000mAh Battery and 144Hz Display Expected

OnePlus is reportedly working on a new performance-focused smartphone – the OnePlus Turbo 6X – as the latest addition to its Turbo lineup. Before its anticipated debut, OnePlus China President Li Jie has confirmed that the handset will launch in China before June 18, meaning the device is just days away from its official unveiling. While the brand has not yet revealed official specifications, leaks suggest the phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and feature a large 7,000mAh battery.

The confirmation came through a Weibo post where Li Jie responded to a user’s comment, revealing the launch timeline for the Turbo 6X.

Expected Specifications of OnePlus Turbo 6X

According to tipster Experience More, the OnePlus Turbo 6X will feature a 6.72-inch Full-HD+ LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth scrolling and gaming. The display is a significant highlight in this price segment, as LCD panels with 144Hz refresh rates are rare.

Under the hood, the handset is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which should handle daily tasks and gaming efficiently. For photography, the phone may come with a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera based on the OV50D sensor, paired with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Selfie and video call duties will likely be handled by an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Battery and Charging

One of the standout features of the OnePlus Turbo 6X is its massive 7,000mAh battery, which should easily last two days on a single charge for most users. The phone is rumored to support 45W wired fast charging, which, while not the fastest in the market, should still provide decent charging speeds for a battery of this capacity.

Build and Additional Features

The device is expected to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, a plastic frame to keep costs down, and an IP64-rated build for dust and water resistance. The handset’s dimensions are rumored to be 165.85 x 75.85 x 8.55mm, with a weight of approximately 208 grams.

OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro – Higher-End Variant

A higher-end model, the OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro, is also rumored to be in the works. It may feature a 1.5K resolution LTPS OLED screen, an even larger 8,000mAh battery, and an IP69 rating for better water resistance. Both models are expected to target the CNY 1,000 (approximately Rs 14,000) price segment in China, making them aggressively priced performance phones.

Expected Price and Availability

The OnePlus Turbo 6X is expected to launch in China before June 18, 2026. Global availability, including India, has not been confirmed yet. Given OnePlus’s history of launching Turbo series phones in India, there is a strong possibility that the device will make its way to the Indian market shortly after the China launch. The expected price of around Rs 14,000 would position it as a direct competitor to other performance-focused budget phones from brands like Xiaomi, Poco, and Realme.

Final Thoughts

The OnePlus Turbo 6X is shaping up to be an exciting option for budget-conscious users who prioritize battery life and display smoothness. With a 7,000mAh battery and 144Hz screen, it addresses two key pain points for smartphone users. However, the use of an LCD panel instead of AMOLED and a 2-megapixel secondary camera may be trade-offs at this price point. All details will be confirmed when the phone launches later this month.
