303 Million Views – PM Modi’s Reel Shatters Global Instagram Record

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a new global record on Instagram. His late-night selfie video addressing exam paper leaks crossed 303 million views in less than 24 hours, making it the most-viewed reel in the platform’s history.

Record-Breaking Numbers

The video, posted on the night of July 23, surpassed the previous record of 300 million views held by streamer IShowSpeed for a reel featuring his meeting with BTS. Within hours, it had amassed over 16 million likes and 1.5 million comments. The Prime Minister’s Instagram following surged by nearly 10 lakh (1 million) overnight, pushing his total followers to over 10 crore.

What the Video Was About

In his address, PM Modi assured students that the government is taking strong action against paper leaks. He announced that a bill with stricter provisions would be introduced in Parliament and confirmed that those responsible had already been arrested. The message came amid ongoing student protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, demanding reforms and accountability.

A Follow-Up Message

Following the record-breaking response, PM Modi posted a second reel thanking the youth for their suggestions. “Thank you, friends. Your love will continue to inspire me, and our bond will deepen further,” he said. He also reportedly encouraged his cabinet ministers to increase their Instagram presence and engage directly with young audiences.
