iPhone Fold Dummy Unit Surfaces Online – Video Creates Buzz on Internet

New Delhi: Apple is gearing up to launch its new iPhone 18 series later this year, and reports suggest that the company might also introduce its first foldable iPhone alongside the new lineup.

Now, a dummy unit of the foldable iPhone has surfaced online, giving us perhaps the first real glimpse of the device’s full size and design. The dummy unit appears in white color and features a book-style folding design. On first look, the rear camera design resembles the camera bar seen on the iPhone Air, featuring two rear sensors instead of three.

This aligns with previous reports suggesting that Apple may focus on keeping the device thin rather than cramming every possible camera into it.

Display and Processor Expectations: According to various reports, the foldable iPhone could feature an external display of approximately 5.5 inches, and when unfolded, users might get a large internal display of around 7.8 inches.

The device is expected to be powered by Apple’s latest A20 Pro chip. In terms of color options, the dummy unit spotted in white matches previous reports suggesting that Apple will choose fairly traditional colors for its first foldable device, unlike the iPhone 18 Pro lineup which may offer more color variants.

Touch ID and Security Features: There is also speculation that Apple might bring back Touch ID on the foldable phone. Several reports claim that instead of Face ID, Apple could use a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the edge of the device. This would be a significant shift from the current iPhone lineup, which relies primarily on Face ID for biometric authentication.

The camera setup on the dummy unit shows only two rear sensors, which aligns with the idea that Apple is prioritizing a slim form factor over multiple cameras. As with any leak, Apple has not officially confirmed any of these details, but the emergence of the dummy unit has certainly created significant buzz among tech enthusiasts waiting for Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone market.
